“The Ivy Rose Cottage was very comfortable and creatively decorated. The kitchen is nicely supplied for cooking simple meals. The trains did not disturb us and were fun to watch, especially the Amtrak. Great pizza and local brewery in nearby Crozet plus an excellent Harris Teeter grocery. Highly recommend this location for anyone looking for an out-of-town stay. ”

“We had an emergency and were unable to stay. The host was wonderful and maintained great contact. She went above and beyond to accommodate the situation. ”

“My husband and I stayed here over a long weekend to explore the Staunton area and it worked out nicely. The owners were always very on top of communication, kind, and accommodating. Everything in the home was decorated well, and functioned well for 2 people who like to save a bit and do breakfast in the house and have some leftovers around after eating out. The location was close to downtown and we walked practically everywhere in the downtown area from the house. It does sit atop a pretty steep……

“My mom gifted this VRBO to my wife and I as a Babymoon vacation. I was unsure at first, but this ended up being my favorite place to get away from the day to day stress. The place is very cozy and peaceful. Definitely a country setting, which we appreciated. ”

“We had a great time at the gingerbread house. The house has all the kitchen utensils you need and some welcoming extras. The cabin location is close enough to restaurants, grocery stores and wineries but far enough from the main road. You can’t go wrong with the gingerbread house. ”

“10/10 amazing property to stay at! Ferne and family went above and beyond to ensure that our stay was hassle free having everything available and ready for us to use when we got there. They even offered to start a fire for us while we were out getting dinner. It was extremely windy but the thought was incredibly nice. The vibe was loving and warm and I cannot wait to book another stay at this cottage again!! ”

“This is an overall lovely, serene, comfortable and yet practical. The cottage is very well-appointed and well-equipped. It was exactly the respite I needed.Juli, the host, was out of town, yet still communicated with me about my potential needs. I couldn't have asked for a better place or a better host.All that in a place that's only about a ten-minute drive west of town. i cannot recommend Home Tract highly enough.”

“We had a great time at the cottage. It is located conveniently to Skyline Drive. We were able to pick some chestnuts at a Virginia Chestnut farm. Paulie's Pig Out just down the road had tasty BBQ. ”

“This setting was absolutely bucolic, and the views of the Blue Ridge Mountains were stunning. But it seemed as if the owner was not ready for our visit. We arrived on a very chilly day, and the heaters had been turned on, but not long enough to warm up the cottage. We actually had to sleep in our coats it was so cold that first night. It took almost 24 hrs for the cottage to feel comfortable. It appeared that we were the first guests of the year, and the cottage had not been deep cleaned since……
