“The Plainfield Cottage is a perfect getaway. We came in for a graduation and were quite busy. However, each time I stepped into the cottage, it felt peaceful, bright and clean. A great retreat to unwind and relax at. Cathy was very attentive on any needs we needed, as there were few because it was well stocked.”

“The house is super cute and in a great location. I loved walking five minutes for coffee at Mudhouse and the quick 5 min drive to vineyards and breweries. Beds were super comfortable and the house had everything we needed. Highly recommend staying here!”

“A friend and I stayed at this fine cottage over the weekend. We came to do some astrophotography at Big Meadows and didn’t feel like camping with our photography gear. So we stayed at this Cottage. Beds where comfortable, there was bottles of water in frig for us, kuerig coffee , and a box of chocolate chip cookies for us to eat. It was a very clean place easy to relax in. I could tell the details matter to this host. I will definitely recommend this place to family and friends looking……

“This was a family gathering to celebrate a UVA graduation. We wanted to stay away from the craziness of Charlottesville. This house was perfect! Everyone in our party raved about how cute, comfy, well laid a house it is! Very well stocked - PLENTY of wine glasses! lol We hit 4 wineries and a brewery (2x) during our stay - all with/in a 5 mile radius! We would highly reccomend and would stay again - for longer - in the future! ”

“What a view! We enjoyed our stay at 3100 feet. It was worth the ride on the unpaved path to the top! We had a comfortable and peaceful time, staying very comfortably at the top of the world. Hosts are lovely and friendly. Had car trouble, and the nearby car repair helped us while we waited. Loved our place! Thank you!”

The Host was extremely helpful with great hospitality any questions I had I got immediate response really nice. Very quiet nice community if you looking for a quiet community to vacation this is it. “This place had some cool stuff I didn't even know I wanted! It was perfect for families on the go. Each kid had their own room. The biggest room had a king bed. All the beds were super comfy. We loved hanging out on the deck. The mountain air was cool, and there weren't any mosquitos. We even had deer visit us every night! It was perfect. The furniture was nice and just right. Nothing breakable for two growing boys. The big TV with our favorite streaming apps meant we could have family movie……
