“My husband and I stayed here over a long weekend to explore the Staunton area and it worked out nicely. The owners were always very on top of communication, kind, and accommodating. Everything in the home was decorated well, and functioned well for 2 people who like to save a bit and do breakfast in the house and have some leftovers around after eating out. The location was close to downtown and we walked practically everywhere in the downtown area from the house. It does sit atop a pretty steep……

“My husband and I are relocating to Charlottesville. We stayed for a week while checking out houses and becoming more familiar with the area. The cottage is conveniently located between C'ville and Crozet, tastefully decorated and comfortable, with a kitchenette stocked with coffee, tea, milk, etc. Cathy greeted me on arrival and checked in occasionally to make sure all was well during our stay. Wonderful lodging, wonderful host.”

“I came here for a girls weekend getaway. The kitchen was fully equipped, the location is super conveniently located near vineyardss and brewerys, and the neighborhood was peaceful and great for a morning run. ”

“This setting was absolutely bucolic, and the views of the Blue Ridge Mountains were stunning. But it seemed as if the owner was not ready for our visit. We arrived on a very chilly day, and the heaters had been turned on, but not long enough to warm up the cottage. We actually had to sleep in our coats it was so cold that first night. It took almost 24 hrs for the cottage to feel comfortable. It appeared that we were the first guests of the year, and the cottage had not been deep cleaned since……

“The property was quite cozy, off the main road, and extremely peaceful. Sitting in the hot tub looking at stars was a great way to end the night. Located about 40 minutes from Lurray and a short drive to Massanutten leaves plenty of options for the whole family. The property seemed well maintained by the host and we felt welcome upon arrival. We will likely be back next year!”

“We had a great time at the gingerbread house. The house has all the kitchen utensils you need and some welcoming extras. The cabin location is close enough to restaurants, grocery stores and wineries but far enough from the main road. You can’t go wrong with the gingerbread house. ”

“Well appointed, clean and cozy apartment on very quiet property with a lovely view. Comfortable beds, pillows and linens and fully stocked kitchenette. Big screen TV was nice but no LIVE tv access for Thanksgiving weekend sports was disappointing. We recommend this rental and would stay again. thanks!”
