Unit does have AC but, after house is cooled down; I didn't need it for sleeping. The dog, Charlie is your vacation ambassador, protector, and friend! “Unit is hot upon entering however as you open up the sliding doors and windows it starts to cool down. The room that's closest to the lanai can be a bit noisy as the cars pass by. You can also hear the occupants on the lower level. Something to keep in mind ”
