“I wish I did a little more research before booking. This lodge used to be a hostel and still seems more like a hostel than lodge. It would be perfect if I wasn’t traveling with a toddler who wants to get into everything. Location is about a five minute drive from the beach. We saw a ton of deer. It’s a little ways to the shipwreck and lighthouse. Great for trail access. Overall, if you’re traveling with small children or folks who overheat easily, maybe not the best place. “Foxkit cottage was very welcoming, relaxing, and perfectly curated to be both beautiful and comfortable. The hosts thought of everything that would be needed to make this little oasis a home away from home. Now, the total showstopper was having the majestic ocean as the backdrop to such a lovely home. We could not get enough of the sound of the crashing waves, and the hot tub…icing on the cake! We had an absolutely wonderful time connecting as a family. We definitely plan to book again. ”
