“A classic hotel with comfortable, spacious rooms. Friendly and competent receptionists. Nice breakfast. Continent breakfast self-served buffet or hot, customised English breakfast That take quite a while. If come by train, need to get a taxi ride of 8-10 minutes. We arrived late in the evening. Have to queue for half an hour at the taxi stop.”

“Absolutely lovely place to stay, the owners are so kind and caring and lovely to speak to we arrived about 5.30pm to a lovely gentleman who showed us around the farm and to our room. There was fresh milk in the room and every amenity you could think of, breakfast was at a time of our choosing 9.30am as we fancied a lie-in, amazing chef the breakfast was to die for. “Its a delightful tavern. Plenty of room on the car park and onto a traditional, friendly bar where my hosts booked me in quickly and with a great intro to how everything worked. I had room 2, in a purpose built outbuilding and I was really pleased with the first impression. Everything worked as it should and there were lots of extras not normally given in this type of accommodation. “Staff are absolutely delightful, can’t do enough for you, I booked 2 small doubles (room was for 1, bed small double, cost was brilliant) bed & pillows/duvet was comfy & I’m fussy about mattresses. The radiator wasn’t on in either room (I think heating was turned off) but radiator was brought to the room & plugged in for when we got back to our room, we had dinner in the restaurant, food was hot & delicious, slept well, had a small cooked breakfast, again delicious.
