“Was greeted by owner on arrival and led to my room, very hospital and partner too, who went out their way to personally call me and confirm location of accommodation so i did not get lost. “If you are looking for a vfm option in West Bay this hotel is the place. We had room 7 on the first floor, spacious, whirlpool bath and even a teapot. In our opinion 2 negatives for this room, the mattress was way too soft and the seagulls from 0400hrs, can't really do anything about the 2nd being near the sea!!! The breakfast is quality, great choice and only £10 per day. The hotel is not statebor modern if that is what you are looking for, however the atmosphere and staff make up for it.”

“We travelled to Sidmouth on the Sunday and arrived early. Reception advised that the room would be ready quite soon so we had a coffee and relaxed. The room was excellent with a walk in shower. The food was very good and we had dinner at the hotel on 2 nights. The only problem was it was quite a trek to our room but staff kindly transported our bags. Would recommend the Royal Glen for a seaside break as it close to amenities yet in a quiet location.”
