“Simple old fashioned elegance without being pompous. The Victorian themed nature collections of leaves, shells, butterflies, etc. that decorated the lobby, elevator, and halls were fascinating and added to the ambience of a step back in time. Dinner cuisine at the Larks Kitchen was beautifully prepared and served.”

“This was a great little find for us. Its part of the best western family and we've always had very pleasant experiences with the brand. Its very walkable. So much to see within a few blocks. Great place to stay if you're attending a show for the Shakespeare festival. Our only issue was the spiders. So many spiders, outside on the car and in our room. We only stayed one night but managed to get jump scared by spiders a few times.it wasnt a terrible experience, just a note if youve got a fear of……

“The Stratford is very reasonably priced and in easy walking distance to town and the theaters. We have stayed here while attending OSF many times starting in 1986. We appreciate having a small fridge and microwave in the room, plus Safeway right across the street. It is an older property but generally in good condition. ”
