“This was a 1-night stay for work. Car park was free and small. The hotel is set back from the road, so you need to drive down a gravel roadway. Nice greeting on checking in. I was in room 6, which was great. Desk and chair to work at in room, comfortable bed, ensuite was lovely. The shower over the bath was not powerful. Lovely side lamps by bed. TV and internet were good. I also ate in bar (as there was no other choice nearby) and the homemade fish pie was tasty. Food ends at 8:30pm.”

“We did have an issue with the heating in the room, it was freezing, after we complained the manger suggested we went out for a pre booked appointment and upon return he would have it sorted We returned to find the room was still cold, we were immediately offered an upgrade to a much bigger suite in a differing part of the hotel. Well done to the staff ”

“Mis-sold this accommodation. This is a house share, with 5 bedroom, but was described as "You'll have the entire home to yourself and will only share it with other guests in your party." on Expedia So I did not stay at Hillcroft.”

“Our room was very, very clean; linens crisp and nice, soft towels. The breakfast was displayed beautifully; fresh fruit, cheeses, meats, fresh bread, homemade pastries, cereals, yogurts, juices. Greg and Jackie so welcoming and friendly!”

“We would love to stay again, really enjoyed it. Room was comfortable, dinner & breakfast both relaxed and beautifully cooked. Dog freindly, so was great for us. The space is understandibly put aside mostly for diners with tables set up, but the bar area could really do with being larger and more comfy seating. Posh, obnoxious kids took over in the bar which was annoying, but that is not the establishments fault.”

“A very comfortable room, chic decor, beautiful bathroom with two heated towel rails. Very good quality bedding & towels, plenty of electric plugs in places you need them. Excellent coffee machine, kettle, fridge & plenty of coffee & tea bags. Superb breakfast.”

“Not obvious where the entrance is, but what a lovely place to stay. Really good breakfast and a nice lounge if you don’t want to sit in your room. Pub next door was closed but may jut be closed on Wednesday.”
