“We stayed in the island lodge. The lodge itself is very nice, only downpoint of the actual lodge is lack of storage space in the kitchen. My biggest complaints about this place were 1. When making the booking it NEVER mentioned that the only way to access your lodge is via a small rowing boat. I kid you not. I was with a family of 5, and none of us had ever rowed a boat a day in our lives. Had i known this upfront i would never have booked this lodge. THIS ROOM IS NOT SUITABLE FOR ANYONE WITH……

“Checkin was great. Paul was to meet us, even after we got lost he waited for us. Gave us information about surounding area, The location is very good, easy walk to almost everywhere. Loved that it was in a traditional building, but the inside is a little tired. Some of the furniture could be updated ( both sofas ) the court yard needed some major cleaning, and maybe a fresh coat of paint and updated art inside would be nice. It was close to as pictured. “This was a nightmare from start to finish. The manager called the day we were meant to check in to ask us to check in late which we did because they were on holiday or there was a staff shortage or someone was sick - I couldn't keep up with what the problem was. “A trip for my Mum’s 70th birthday. The location of the property is incredible. There were lots of independent restaurants near the property, so no need to worry about catering. The apartment was spotlessly clean, with comfortable beds and hotel quality bed linen. The photos of the property don’t do it justice, it feels much larger in person. Its light, airy and modern with some lovely extra touches from the owner. I would definitely return. ”
