“As non-gamblers, we can't comment on the gambling aspect, but the hotel and rooms themselves were clean and it offered more than your average hotel. We did have a blood stain on our sheets and they offered to move us to a different room, but we chose to get different sheets instead. Free coffee in the morning, but no free breakfast. Free parking, felt safe leaving the car in the parking lot, even in that community. I would not recommend walking around the area, as Wheeling Island is run-down,……

“The WiFi is really bad. I can’t access to the internet while staying in the room. The hotel deliberately tries to drag you out of the room to the casino and the racetrack. When I called the front desk and complained about wifi service, all they told me is “well sir, it turns out you are in a dead spot. Sorry” This is absurd, not everyone comes here is for the casino and racetrack. I’m on a business trip, and it’s a just a stopping by.”

“Everything was just as described! The cottage was comfy for all six of us and the property was beautiful! We enjoyed fishing in the private pond and curling up inside with books and movies when the storms rolled in! ”
