“Safe, clean and great staff.”

“This was our second time staying at Caribbean Shores. It's clean, comfortable, and the setting is very relaxing. The hot water wasn't working properly in our shower, but it was at least warmer than the solar showers where we stayed prior. Everything is relative. :). This property is a little ways out of Hopkins Village proper, but there are restaurants in short walking distance. It's also not on the beach, but we weren't looking for that since we liked the location for access to……

“I stayed for 4 nights and had a wonderful time. The resort is a distance from placencia town so if you wanna save money on transportation to town you have to book the free shuttle service that the hotel runs daily. The hours for this service are 10am & 2:30pm. Meals at Umaya in my opinion are overpriced and the chef needs to be replaced as the food is not very good and the portions are way too small for what you pay for. Overall, if you want peace & quiet and good relaxation then definitely……

“Property was very beautiful! All the staff from the from desk to the restaurant were so nice and accommodating. Food and drinks were really good. They provided transportation when needed and also provided excellent service to any requests. Would definitely stay here again!”

“Truly stellar pool with three areas of different depths. This allowed children to play more freely while parents enjoyed the pool. Only complaint was limited food options with highly variable quality. Note this area of Placencia has lots of sea grass and sargassum that washes up on the beaches daily. So depending on your level of comfort swimming in and around it, you may not be able to use the ocean. When it decays it smells heavily of sulfur. ”

“Great location on the beach and Placencia sidewalk. Easy access to bars, restaurants, shopping, and pier. Friendly staff and great room with a very comfortable bed! I would definitely stay here again!”

“We loved our stay in the Turtle room! We had a last minute change in our itinerary and needed a place for only one night... But we wished we had more time at this spot! The owners are very kind and responsive. The room was very comfy and cozy. I appreciated all the shelving in the rooms and bathroom. AC worked great. And the screened in porch was really wonderful to hang out on. It's also in a great location for wandering around the village. ”
