“Pleasantly surprised at how large the room was. While there are a few areas of wear and tear, I found the room to be comfortable and clean. Bed was comfortable and even thought this location doesn’t have airco, they do have a fan in room. While small, the fan was sufficient to keep it cool enough for a good nights sleep. We would definitely return to this location, if needed, in the future. No info about breakfast because we didn’t need it but you are conveniently next to a service area so……

“Do not stay here. Found hairs in beds, questionable stains on sheets, can’t explain the smell. Marks on walls, cracks in plaster that were more than hairline and damage everywhere. Needs refurbishing!”

“We booked this as a pit stop on route to the Dales. Lovely staff and clean nice room. The only thing was the A/C was very noisy in the night. It kept me awake but my husband slept through 😂”

“Check in: at the bar. Wait for 5 minutes as the staff served at the bar at that time. Wifi: good. Room: spacious, clean. One grocery shop near by, 5 minutes walk. No self laundry service. Breakfast: not buffet except juoice, milk and cereal, ok, basic. ”

“Beautiful old hotel in superb grounds. My 3rd visit. It’s dog friendly which is essential for me. Staff very friendly especially Angela who made such a fuss of our boy. Its excellent position means a great spot for beautiful dog walks, literally across the road. However I must comment on the room. It was absolutely boiling hot in there, totally unacceptable and uncomfortable, we were given a fan which helped a bit. One of the lights on the wall wasn’t working which made the room very dark. There……

“I had a great stay the room was lovely, clean and comfortable. The staff were most helpful and approachable making me feel more settled as I travelled alone. The breakfast was amazing and hot! The room was clean and there was complimentary things in the bathroom which you never get! The only snag was I could hear some sort of generator or air conditioning unit that didn’t go off/ quieter until midnight and I like it quiet when I sleep or I can’t sleep.”

“Great boutique hotel. Stylish good sized room. Room included a nespresso coffee machine, fresh milk, homemade macarons and a couple of complimentary alcoholic beverages. The toiletries smelled amazing! Sunday lunch in restaurant was excellent. All the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful.”

“Another excellent trip on the houseboat. Love this hotel - great location, fabulous accommodation. Why stay in a regular hotel when you can stay here!”

“Lovely one night stay, hotel is modern clean and has large rooms. The bar area is well laid out. We didn’t eat, but due to its location if you need a meal you will likely end up eating there. Only one bad point is that the pillows were feather and soon went flat, I do wish hotels would have a synthetic standby pillow that does not go flat. Other than that we really enjoyed it.”

“Property is short walk into Mansfield town center. Apartment had all the amenities for cooking and laundry. Just downfall was no soap or shampoo or laundry powder luckily i checked in early too purchase so was not an issue but cloud imagine if i checked it late”
