“This adorable cabin was the perfect location for a weekend getaway in the mountains! It was cozy, quiet, and the view was absolutely beautiful in the fall. The cabin is tucked far enough away in the forest to truly feel at peace in nature, yet still only a short drive to several little towns with many things to do. Our only issue was that the bed in the loft was very uncomfortable. We actually ended up sleeping on the couch the second night because it was more comfortable than the bed. Otherwise……

We would have enjoyed the outdoors, ie., the fire pit and grill, had it been a little warmer. Overall, the place is easily 5 stars! ”

“If you’re looking for a place to stay in this area, Halvorsen House is the place to choose! Just a few minutes from the north entrance of Letchworth, it gave us a perfect landing place each evening. Tons of great space inside and outside for either gathering or spreading out. We enjoyed breakfast on the deck and ending our evening around the firepit. Thank you for giving us such a comfortable and clean home for our visit!”
