“The property was absolutely beautiful. Our stay was great, with one small exception. We arrived, followed directions given to us, the code worked. We unloaded our bags and groceries and a short time later, 2 families arrived. We were in the wrong house. We looked around and found the house in the back. I can't believe both houses had the same code. So we had to load everything up and move while these families stood outside waiting for us. It stated that these 2 houses would not rented to two……

“This was a beautiful property that provided our group of 10 with a serene setting while we spent time together. We loves sitting on the porch in the morning watching the deers come in to feed. We also enjoyed relaxing, aftera day in downtown fredericksburg, in the hot tub.Grilling dinner wa so easy with the amenties available to us.... outdoor grill, seasonings, plenty of untensils... it was a true retreat at Flint River. We already have a plan to make this an annual trip!”

“First, know that it is really really far from town. It takes more than the time in the description to get to the ranch, so it isn’t convenient to actually doing things in town… and by the number of hit deer on the road- I wouldn’t want to drive it at night. That said, once you get there, it is a true Texas ranch experience. Cows, deer, wild turkey… big porch and just fine accommodations. The hot-tub is huge and fantastic- and you can see all of the stars!!! Be warned, though- the pictures show……

“Very very very CLEAN! Had everything you would need including coffee. The deer literally were feeding in the front and back yard very peaceful. My favorite part was the record player which worked and had great options and the front porch swing. Beds very comfortable! Conveniently located. Host was very engaging and welcoming ensuring we were ok and didn’t need anything. ”

The host is extremely personal in greeting you and making you feel at home. This is the only place we will stay in the Hill Country. It is a 10 out a 10 in every way.
