“It is a place like no other. Very cool concept and off grid but close to nearby town location. Few Icelandic attractions 30 minutes away. Waterfalls and DC3 wreckage. Very clean and well organized amenities. Nice showers, hot water, espresso-coffee machine to start the day with your favorite one. Igloos are fantastic, comfortable bed and fresh, crisp white bed linen. With the right weather seeing northern lights would be magical. “This property was a modern, clean cottage a few minutes up from Akureyri center. It was not an issue for us to take a few minutes to drive where we wanted to go. The setting is peaceful and offers great views. The home itself was very comfortable and well-equipped with everything we needed except for one seemingly minor but nonetheless annoying thing: the coffee mugs wouldn’t fit under the coffee maker.Aside from that, everything was perfect. There was a language barrier but anyone who is not Spanish can just use google translate and it is easy enough.
