“Really good location right in the centre, lovely warm room and good shower, three separate beds so great for families with older children. Shower could have been more powerful and the communal access to all room keys felt a bit off putting. Lovely staff and nice and clean. ”

“After going through the front gate that should have locked I came by a dumpster full of stinking garbage. The small courtyard was filthy. The stairs going up to the rooms needed a good cleaning and refurbishing. After opening the door to the room I was surprised how small it was, 8’x8’? The shared bathroom, toilet paperless, was dingy and poorly lit. Some photoshop trickery must have been used for the pics of the place. Since anyone could access the property through the open front, street gate I……

“Fantastic staff, beautiful hotel, hope we stay again”

“Superb stay. Gorgeous old pub. Rooms were fabulous. We had a family room which was enormous with a lovely comfy bed for us and a sofa bed for the children. Lovely en-suite with the best shower I’ve ever used in a hotel. Dinner and breakfast were great. Breakfast had several options and was cooked to order. Highly recommend. ”

“The Royal is a great hotel situated in the quaint village of Heysham. We loved our stay. Lots of nice walks and history. The hotel has a very relaxed and chilled atmosphere. The food is excellent and all staff are friendly and display excellent communication and customer service skills. Everwhere is spotlessly clean. Free parking is an added bonus. We will be returning soon and I will recommend the Royal to my friends and family.”

“It was a last minute decision on our part to come here due to change in travel plans. Had to make a choice very quickly and we were so fortunate. Staff first class and an excellent evening meal. Our room was large and comfortable with en-suite and walk in shower. Good breakfast too. A pleasure to give The Fleece Inn an excellent rating”
