“I was only here for 1 night but it was a lovely experience. The staff is very nice and answered all my curious questions, the VIEW is one of the best you’ll find in the Catskills. The air purifier and sound machine in the room was a very nice touch! Things I have at home so nice to have at a spot away! ”

“Laureen was very hospitable. She accomodated us every step of the way. There were clean sheets, comforters, pillows and sets of towels arranged in the room. The bathroom was also clean and there was hot water. Laureen checked in on us to see how we slept and if our needs were met. She made a delicious hot breakfast consisting of blueberry pancakes and eggs how we like them served with tea, coffee or water. Lastly, the landlord/hostess, Laureen, always had positive vibes and friendly at all……

“As a little motel close to a festival venue, the Black Bear Lodge was just what I was looking for. I was prepared for it to be small and basic and for the decor to be somewhat dated. What I found was a motel that was clean, quiet, and very comfortable. The innkeeper was delightful. I would stay there again. ”

“A no-frills hotel which is absolutely wonderful. Our room was large with a comfortable bed and plenty of hot water in the shower. Everything was clean which is very important. Upgrades will be done per the front desk. Breakfast is no longer being served but there are plenty of places in neighboring towns for food. There is plenty of parking, vending machines for snacks and amazing sunset views.”
