“Everything about this place is done with excellence. The furniture is comfortable and thoughtful. The beds are so comfortable. The bedding and towels are all cotton, fresh and abundant. “Oaks on the River couldn't be more different from the chain hotels and mostly in good ways. The physical layout of rooms set in multiple buildings including two 200-year old mansions is the most obvious. Our king size bedroom felt very king-size. We arrived late in the rain and found our room with A MAP. Dining room was filled but the room service option was there. “Perfect little spot for a stopover for a night or two if you have a long drive up or down 95. My wife and I stayed there with our puppy. 2 miles to 95 and everything was walkable. Friendly neighborhood and very close to the water. Bungalow was very clean and had what you needed for a short stay. A great alternative to getting a hotel.”
