“My family & I stayed in this amazing property for 5 nights & fell totally in love with it. The pictures simply do not do it justice- from the size of the place (which is much bigger than it looks in the photos) to the sheer beauty of its surroundings. The grounds are beautifully kept, secluded & picturesque- so peaceful! We used the pool a lot, as well as the many seating areas around the property. We enjoyed watching the hawks, butterflies & even hummingbirds! The gas bbq is a great addition &……

“This was our second stay here for a small reunion of family and friends. Just as magnificent as our first stay, if not better. The place is so well appointed and home-y because they have thought of everything. Family style meals with a well appointed kitchen are a breeze. The hot tub, sauna, pool table, shuffleboard, and lovely grounds keep everyone happy and individually satisfied. We found it difficult to leave for our daily outings because the experience of being there day and night is so……

“We had a 360 hilltop view from virtually every window in the house as well as the outdoor fireplace on the front deck, and the Jacuzzi on the back deck. We hope to return here soon.”

“What a wonderful property and even more wonderful host! Amber was incredible. She took the time to show us around and let us meet all of the animals. My sister loved petting Tom the Turkey. He was suprisingly very mellow. But the one who stole the show and I had to stop by to say hello was the sweetest little donkey. Amber also guided us to a beautiful hike called Blue Lady Mine nearby. If you love crystals and caves, you will love this hike!If we are in the area again, we are definitely……

“We were so comfy that we didn’t want to leave. Great space for families and oh so close to Julian 7 min drive or a nice 25 min walk. Great beds and linen (big plus). Well stocked kitchen and the home felt welcoming. Our hosts was very kind and easy to reach out to. Provided additional house info and that was appreciated. ”

“We all loved our stay at “The White Barn.” The layout was perfect for our group of adults. Plenty of different spaces to gather, chat, play games and relax. Plenty of natural light in every space. The turkeys gobbling next door was a plus! We will definitely be back! ”

“Check in was a breeze. Communication with host (Mo) was great. Any questions we had during our stay were handle very quickly. Wish my family was that quick. Very spacious home. The game room in the garage was great. The kitchen had everything we needed. The backyard was great. The view made us feel like we were all by ourselves. Just be careful of the back patio area, it is tiled and quite slippery so. Highly recommend. ”

“We choose Bison Lodge for a family retreat and it was exactly as advertised. Comfortable, spacious, clean and charming in a beautiful and convenient location. The weekend just flew by with so many fun and interesting activities in the Julian area. Having such a great property to return to each day just added to the whole enjoyable experience. “House was nicely redone. Homeowner, Jenny, was very responsive to all questions. Anything that was needed during our stay was quickly remedied by Jenny. We wished we had better weather. It was quite chilly. We opted to pay the extra for heating the pool. The pool felt cool at 82 degrees. Since it was cool outside 82 felt chilly. The kids didn't last long swimming. Extra Blankets, pillows, beach towels were all provided. We were there for a funeral so it was nice to come back to a comfortable……

“We enjoyed our stay in the house. The house was clean and comfortable ,the hostess was very responsive. The only drawback is that there is only one key available to enter the house( apparently there is no spare key available),so if you lose/misplaced your key there would be a problem. You might have to call for a locksmith.. Other then this I can recommend the house and location.”
