“We enjoyed this lovely home with a lot of charm! The pioneer owner’s story on the wall was fun to read, too. The location was great and was easy to walk to shops and the one restaurant that was open this time of year. The beds were firm but comfortable and I slept great! The one bathroom was a little tough but we knew that ahead of time so it was ok! It was a nice touch to have body wash, shampoo, dish soap, paper towels, food seasonings, etc supplied. “We had a wonderful anniversary trip to Nauvoo. The historic and quaint Mix House added some period charm to our stay. While the house retains much of its 19th century charm, it has the modern conveniences needed for a relaxing stay. It may have been the off season, but food and meal choices were limited in Nauvoo itself. We were grateful for the items we ordered from The Apron Bake Shoppe.”

“My sister and I attended the British and Nauvoo pageants in Nauvoo, IL this week. Hamilton is about 20 min from Nauvoo. We were out and about quite a bit, but we found this lodging very comfortable. The host was very responsive!”

“The space was clean and well organized. Huge backyard with a fire pit. Covered porch that we were able to watch the storms roll in. The only negative is that the river view was what sold us on the property but because the house is split in two, the other tenants were using it. Since the patio furniture sat in front of our French doors we had to keep the blinds closed and weren’t able to enjoy the view. Amazing location though!”
