“Decent quality 3 star hotel on negombo seafront. Nice garden facing the beach and great views of sunsets. Guests were a mixed crowd of locals and foreign tourists. Check in process was slow and inefficient. Staff seemed to struggle to process a group booking ahead of us and told us to wait. This took more than half hour. The older lady who showed us to our room incorrectly told us that there was no room service. Her younger male colleague confirmed there was room service and said he was……

“Prisvärt, trevligt ställe nära flygplatsen vilket var bra då vårt flyg landade sent. Hotellet hämtade för 12$US. Åkte vidare på morgonen och hade resan resplan. Annars kan de hjälpa till med det. Som alla ställen vi bott på i Sri Lanka var personalen mycket trevlig. Vi bor på mellanklass mindre hotell och alla har varit familjära och välkomnande.”

“The room is very nice and clean. Although there was no air conditioner, but we didn't feel hot. The staffs were helpful. There was yoga class in the morning and we could enjoy the Ayurveda treatment in the afternoon. The treatment was so comfortable! The food in the restaurant was tasty, however, it only served veggie food.”

“I had read some not so great reviews before leaving however I found Amora Lagoon a lovely hotel. It is a hotel in another country so things aren’t always going to be exactly what you expect from a local hotel however I found it quite pleasant. The staff were friendly and helpful, the pool was clean and beautiful, the room clean and comfortable with air conditioning and only a few minutes drive to the airport. The shower pressure in two of the three rooms we stayed in was not fantastic but again……

“We stayed here for 1 night, we arrived at 6 am and our room was booked for the night, but we were lucky and wer able to check in early and get some extra sleep after a long flight. The amenities were amazing, and the staff incredibly kind. Also breakfast was Very good!! I loved that The bed sheets smelled so clean - Everything was Super!”
