“Stockholm is a charming little town with the cutest shops and restaurants. Just a 7 minute drive to Pepin. The house was neat and clean with plenty of space for the 5 of us. Older home with lots of character, very well kept. Lots of ceiling fans and window units to stay comfortable on the hottest days! Host was very accommodating and responsive to any questions. Would definitely recommend!”

“Wonderful stay at the cottage. Nancy and Brad were wonderful hosts! We felt right at home and loved the central location. Home was clean, comfy beds and kitchen well stocked with all we needed for cooking. Beautiful evening sitting out back with a fire watching sailboats on lake Pepin. Definitely recommend and hope to return again!”

“We all had an amazing time in such a beautiful location. Very secluded with a wonderful fire pit. Although we did not have a fire. We did enjoy the hot tub very much. The grill was awesome to use and the chairs on the deck were were terrific. We especially love the springed in court. “This sweet cottage was perfect for our weekend away from everything. The house was very clean and had what we needed to prepare simple meals. It was very quiet, wuth only a few friendly neighbors occasionally driving by. Bring your binoculars! We saw deer, pheasants, racoons, coyotes, cranes, and eagles in the field across the road. Alex responded very quickly to any messages we sent to him.”

“What a fun place! Plenty of room. We played foosball had a fire outside. We enjoyed the fireplace too. We hadn’t anticipated no TV though. You might want to add that to your description. The water is definitely smelly, so we truly appreciated the 40 bottles of water you provided. Definitely a great place for a girl’s weekend or family reunion!”

"Staying at the Alexander Mansion felt like stepping back in time to an era of elegance and warmth. Every piece of furniture and every lamp tells a story—but what truly made this stay unforgettable was the hospitality of the 80-something host, a former chef, who graciously prepared a beautiful and heartfelt breakfast ceremony for us. His kindness and attention to detail gave our journey a sense of home and heartfelt care. Thank you for not only providing a charming place to stay, but for making every guest feel seen, welcomed, and cherished. This will remain one of the warmest memories of my travels. I wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone seeking quiet, history, and genuine hospitality. It’s more than just a B&B—it’s a soul-soothing experience."
