“House was great. Hosts were great. Winona is great!”

“Arrived at 4pm and the house was all ready for us. House was located in q quiet neighborhood. Pictures were an accurate description of the house. Communication with the owner was quick and smooth. House had a great floorplan and you could see from the front room all the way to the kitchen which was great when traveling with a toddler. Extra bonus points for the permanent gate at the top of the stairs. Kitchen was stocked with plenty of everything you would need plus quite the selection of……

“We really enjoyed our stay at the house. The open, expansive view of the river was exactly what I needed as a break. Some great decisions were made about furnishings, like the table in the sunroom and the one on the deck. The double glass windows do a lot to muffle the train noise. We've stayed along these tracks before and this was definitely the quietest. Everything was clean and in excellent working order EXCEPT the bathtub/shower drain. It really breaks up the ambiance to have to stand in……

“This is a beautiful home and perfect for our high school friend's getaway weekend. The location right across from the lake gave wonderful views of the lake, sunrises and the changing trees. It is on the main highway through town but inside we didn't hear that much traffic. It was an easy in and out without having to remember which streets to go down - for 66-year-olds that was nice! We loved the different sitting areas throughout the house. We decided not to try the bikes that were parked in……

"Staying at the Alexander Mansion felt like stepping back in time to an era of elegance and warmth. Every piece of furniture and every lamp tells a story—but what truly made this stay unforgettable was the hospitality of the 80-something host, a former chef, who graciously prepared a beautiful and heartfelt breakfast ceremony for us. His kindness and attention to detail gave our journey a sense of home and heartfelt care. Thank you for not only providing a charming place to stay, but for making every guest feel seen, welcomed, and cherished. This will remain one of the warmest memories of my travels.
