“This cottage is much cuter than the pictures show. The setting on the river is beautiful and relaxing! We stayed for the Holland Tulip festival and the setting was the perfect retreat after a long day of walking and people. The house is comfortable and relaxing and provided everything we needed for our stay!”

“This is an excellent property! The house is beautifully remodeled and well appointed with everything we needed. Even had a basket filled with complimentary snacks on the counter! The grounds were well maintained and the fire pit was in a perfect spot right by the lake. The lake was busy but still very quiet. We will definitely rent this property again and again!!”

“First time VRBO customer. Process for booking was easy, description of property was accurate. Communication with host was superb. Any issues we had were quickly taken care of. It was as you would expect a cabin to be: minimalistic. All flatware, cooking and BBQ utensils, pot, pan and baking sheet were provided. Pots are sized for cabins. If you intend to cook large group meals bring your own. Very close to water, kayaks & life vests available. Paddle boat available for use. ”

“This was our 2nd time staying here. My kids love the house. We love the quietness, nature, fishing and all the other wild life we see. Perfect spot for a family :)”

“This property is well kept and very clean. The kitchen was stocked with everything needed to cook and clean any meal with. It is tastefully decorated and the owners have been thoughtful with the things they provide to make your stay comfortable. We loved our stay! ”

“Overall this was a very nice stay for my family and dog, especially if you're just looking for a peaceful place to hunker down.The only things I would want anyone to know before booking is that the cabin is right up against some woods and, thus, bugs. My daughter found a tick on her and there were several stink bugs and prolly pollies trotting around. Not a big deal unless you have bug phobias. Also, the path to the house is not paved, so you may want to take that into account with your luggage……

“We came back to this property for a second time. We were able to experience it during the winter season and it was great! It was so nice to be able to walk right out to the lake from the backyard and go ice fishing. Our dog came with us and enjoyed his stay as well. Perfect little getaway, year round!”

I loved that the property has a beautiful view on the hill but a nice flat spot of lawn for the kids to run on at the lake. We enjoyed taking the paddle boat around the island. “Holiday Haus is a great place to relax and unwind. The main floor is spacious and the kitchen is well stocked to cook meals. The outdoor space is nice too. We visited in the fall so the temps were cool which made the indoor fireplace and the outdoor firepit cozy! The home is beautifully decorated! My one suggestion would be to have one bigger bed on the lower level instead of two bedrooms with twin beds. ”

“My elderly parents and aunt/uncle stayed here while the rest of our family camped in Newaygo for a family reunion. Was the perfect way for them to watch us tube by and join us at the park just a short drive away. House was spotless and ideal!!”
