“We stayed 4 nights during Easter. It was perfect. We love the Lydia Mountain location. This was our first time at this cabin with our daughter and dog. Our favorite. We love exploring Stanardsville, Alun’s pottery place down the hill, the Shenandoah caverns, and of course, all the hikes we did. The cabin was perfect for lazy mornings of coffee and breakfast on the deck overlooking the mountains. Evenings ended with dinner, wine, and hot tub after our adventures. Listening to the stream below and……

“Wonderful cabin in the woods near Shenandoah NP. It was lovely to hear the birds in the morning. The porch is a wonderful place for coffee. The bed was comfortable. The hosts were friendly and check in was easy. Be sure to plan ahead food wise, there aren’t restaurants or stores nearby. This was a wonderful retreat!”

“We had a wonderful stay. Beautiful view! Porch is inviting and relaxing, along with the hot tub. Zip line was a hit with the kids!! Along with the swing. ”

“We wanted to get away from everything and stay in a beautiful mountain home where there was no traffic sounds and beautiful sights… this house provided. I will admit- we drove up the mountain to check in late at night and it is about.a 30 minute drive on unpaved roads up the side of a mountain so that was a bit jarring. But- waking up in the morning to the clouds engulfing us because we were on the top of the mountain was amazing and the views were worth it! Once we drove up and down the……

“Great place to stay. Very quiet and peaceful. Cabin was very clean and had great bathrooms. Host greeted us and showed us the property at the beginning of our stay and was available on site our entire stay. Will definitely try to book it again if ever in thearea again.”

“We originally reanted a different cabin. However i have physical limitations that made the booking difficult. The staff worked with us to get us a different cabin and we had a wonderful 30th anniversary vacation. ”

“Beautiful cabin peacefully isolated in the Virginia Piedmont region with easy access to Charlottesville and quaint little Scottsville. Cabin was equipped with everything one would need or want for an enjoyable stay. And plenty of outdoor space for our dog to run and for us to hike. We will definitely return here.”

“The cabin was the perfect way to spend a weekend getaway. The views at sunrise and sunset were to die for. It was just as nice spending time in the cabin as it was hiking in Shenandoah and exploring nearby Orange. The entire weekend was such a nice escape from the city. I wholeheartedly recommend staying here.”

“Very clean and private. Amenities are up to date and stylish. Host are polite and easy to contact. They respond promptly. You will need a 4W drive, as they suggest. Very unique and peaceful. They provide cookware, towels, kitchen appliances and even coffee. The hot top is clean and maintaned. Love the hamock style swing. Fire wood and all needs to start the fire in the fire pit provided. Made it simple. It was a little more expensive then we normally would spend. But it was our 25th anniversary……
