“Very good ! I love it ”

“As always the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly (Shirley was lovely: smiley, chatty, courteous and efficient) Food, as ever, was very good and as real ale drinkers, we appreciated the good beer on offer. Breakfast was excellent, but the coffee was very weak and not to our taste For the first time, we stayed overnight. Although the room was fine, it felt a little underwhelming after the surroundings in the restaurant. Mould in the bathroom was unsightly.”

“I love stopping here. Its less than a 2 minute from the train station and the Peice Hall, and a 3 minute walk to the shops and bus station. The staff are lovely.. The rooms are comfortable. Nothing flashy as reflected in the orices ”

“This hotel is very underrated, don't listen to any bad reviews, it was very clean and comfortable, staff were very pleasant, theres someone on reception 24/7 so felt safe there as a lone female traveller. No breakfast but macdonalds nearby or plenty of places to eat. Great location, 5 mins from train station, or 2 mins from bus station.”

“Very beautiful grounds, easy and lots of parking. Public areas very nice, rooms tired!! Definitely need refurbishing. Food nice and lots of choice of drink. Breakfast nice enough. The staff are incredibly lovely, helpful and always smiling, they are a massive asset to this hotel!! ”

“Arrived over an hour before standard check-in and room was ready. Lovely, large room in a cottage by the river with free parking. Staff Lovely & friendly. Got back just before 11pm and was able to get more milk for a late brew. Only grumble, not enough milk left in the first place. Loved our Eggs Royale for breakfast. 11am check out is just right. Would reccomend.”

“Every thing was fine. The suite was more accommodating than I hoped and comfortable. The hot water took forever to come on and there wasn't enough snack for the number of guests. It was a room paid for 4 people and yet only 2 mugs were provided. Apart from those 2 issues, it was a good stay. The hotel was quiet as well and enough parking space. ”

“limited hotel services, much like basic business hotel, tooo bad that the lift to car park was not in service during my stay, I need to walked through stairs with my working stick (I have some problems with my legs)”
