“Food in the Orangery restaurant was great quality. Room was clean and comfortable but could maybe be doing with a little bit of renovation. Continental breakfast was of a good standard, cooked breakfast was varied with some items a little overcooked. Health suite facilities were of a good standard. Sauna and Steam room were of a decent size approx 8 people at a time in each. Changing rooms were a little tight if many people were in. Staff were pleasant, helpful and really great.”

“Stayed here previously and enjoyed the experience and glad to say the quality and service is exactly the same, top notch. Excellent room with great amenities this one even had a whirl spa bath. The menu is great and the food is superbly presented and so delicious and the service is excellent. Thoroughly enjoyed staying and have already booked back in. Nice quiet location lots of safe onsite parking. Promised I would mention the breakfast servers Norma and Terri who do a superb job. ”

“This is a great guest house and who includes breakfast anymore?? My cousin and I stayed for one night and our room was very warm, cozy, and the owner made us very welcome. He went above and beyond with breakfast the next morning and cooked up custom meals for each of us! I would definitely stay here again since it is in an excellent location, within walking distance to the Largs train station, and who doesn’t love excellent hospitality and service?! Highly recommended”

“Old but comfortable place, in a very quiet street. I stayed in a standard double room (No.21), which was spacious and clean. Be aware that the heating only comes on in the evening, though. There's private parking, although I arrived and departed by train; Crosshill station is only six or seven minutes' walk away, with regular services to and from the city centre. Although there are no facilities other than a kettle, tea and coffee in the room, there are plenty of shops, cafés and takeaways……
