“We stayed at leatherwood for one night and headed a couple of miles down the road to the outfitter before starting our paddle trip. Leatherwood is a great and spacious house with everything you need. If you’re driving in the dark the sign can be a bit hard to see but if you’re looking out for it, it’s no problem at all! Would absolutely come back!”

“This small house is super cute. And it has all the amenities we wanted, including an outdoor hot tub and laundry machines in the big bathroom. Oh, and the central air conditioning worked great.I'm 6'8"so it was unfortunately short for me inside. I couldn't stand up straight in there. And the door frame of course made the entry even lower. But the shower, surprisingly, is not very low in comparison.Be ready for some gravel country roads, because you have to drive on a mile and a half of gravel to……

“We loved our stay at the Rock House! The home was clean and comfortable. John and his daughter Amy were very accommodating. We got to visit with John a couple of times. He showed us how to get to the river, both on the property and from a nearby public road and even provided us plenty of firewood. There were a lot of ticks by the river so I recommend bringing tick spray. I suspect it has to to with the time of year rather than location because this was not the only spot we picked them up and……

“The home is fascinating. We could have wandered throughout it for days.The detail and design are amazing. Kathy is a lovely host and the grounds are gorgeous. We were fortunate enough to see the falls in all their glory and hiked to the lower and upper levels. The deck has perfect views of all things nature and bird watching which made for a great backdrop to relax and catch up. Also, this house was SPOTLESS (a hard feat so embedded in nature).
