“Just a couple of minor niggles, which did not really detract from the overall impression of a great place to stay in Hebden Bridge. Our room was spacious and comfortable but had a broken lamp shade and a loose leg on the dressing table stool both of which should be easy fixes. The bathroom was lovely and the free standing bath a bonus but the addition of a shelf near the sink or hook on the back of the door would be useful, as there was nowhere to put toiletry bags other than the top of the……

“The hotel actually has two sections on two sides of the bridge. We were expecting to be on the water side but was disappointed. The room only has a small window facing the back of the hotel. Nothing impressive at all. The staffs were not helpful on anything. We were asked by the front desk to go across the bridge to make booking at the hotel restaurant. ”

“Das Hotel liegt im Headingley Rugby & Cricket Stadion und ist durch die dortige Schranke erreichbar. Die Zimmer sind geräumig und mit der kompletten Fensterfront zum Spielfeld ausgerichtet. Leider kann man die Balkontüre nicht öffnen und es gibt keine Klimaanlage, was es im Zimmer sehr heiß macht. Im Bad gibt es keine Ablagefläche, die Dusche ist groß und gut. “Stay in a working monastery! The buildings and extensive grounds are superb. The grounds and gardens are well tended, and make for an extremely pleasant stroll. The place oozes character and makes a memorable visit. All this on the outskirts of Huddersfield. The rooms are basic but clean. Breakfast is only "continental", offering cereals, muesli, yoghurt, plenty of fresh bread for toast and lots of strong filter coffee. The staff are friendly and welcoming.”
