“The property was perfect for a girl’s weekend trip. It was clean, comfortable, and updated. The amenities were useful (Kerig, small fridge, and microwave), and we loved sitting by the fire pit at night. We chose this location because it is close to the Mt. Tallac trailhead (~5 miles) and good paddle boarding beaches (Kiva & Baldwin). It was quiet and relaxing here. We made a great choice and would love to stay again in the future. Thank you!”

“The place was very nice, clean, and was just as advertised. It was pretty small, but comfortably slept 3 of us. There was no kitchen, just a mini-fridge, a microwave, and a toaster. There are also no plates or bowls (even paper ones) so I suggest that you bring your own if you plan to use the kitchenette. The walk to the lifts is only about 5 min, and there is also a shuttle stop right out front if you don't want to walk.”

“Lack of communication. No TV access Weak cell service for WiFi, hotspot didn’t work Traffic from the busy street is loud. Activities area unorganized. Huge garbage dumpster is an eye sore. For the price per night for this property it should be much more maintained. Overall I give the property & our stay a 3.5 stars. **** note to everyone. I believe the owner will give you a discount for a 5 star rating. Which far from 5 stars. ”

“A full kitchen and laundry is in the house. Plenty of parking space, away from noisy south lake but close to supermarket and cafes. The place is pet-friendly, perfect for one person to stay. There is one bed in the house, not comfortable for 2 adults but ok for an overnight. Prompt, courteous communication from the host. Overall, I would stay here again when visiting Tahoe.”

“The condo unit is a studio, but maximizes the limited space with the use of the murphy queen bed and murphy bunk. Folding away the beds every morning wasn't as difficult as I had imagined. It's certainly easier than folding a sofa bed. The kitchen had everything we needed, except for a kitchen knife. It was a reasonable 10 minute walk in ski boots from our door to the Cornice and Solitude lifts.My only wish... a place to hang our bath towels. We used the plastic shirt hangers that were……

“Much of South Lake Tahoe is noisy and congested. Fireside is located on the edge of the Camp Richardson forested region, perfect hiking distance from Pope Beach. They provide guests with complimentary bikes in the warmer months and snowshoes when the drifts kick in. Unlike many Tahoe motels on the highways, Fireside Lodge is quiet at night (due to its location).
