“This boutique hotel is on the outer rim of the old town. The rooms were spacious and clean and the the bathroom was the same. The staff was friendly and helpful and the food at the restaurant was delicious. My breakfast was included and was delicious combination of fresh fruit, breads and made to order eggs. Had dinner and this also was delicious. The Old Town is very hilly, with cobblestones - so best to wear sturdy shoes on walks. My ch to see around town - 2 days was a good amount of time to……

“Amazing hotel, James was extremely helpful, breakfast was nice, typical of all the hotels I used in Ecuador. Location to Old Town was excellent and only a $15 cab from historic equatorial line (mitad del Mundo) Only point I'd make is for some the hotel may feel cold although there is a tower heater in the bedroom which worked well. ”

“The Casa Gangotena was perfection! The hotel itself is beautiful and the staff was gracious and attentive. We stayed in a very comfortable, large room with a spectacular view of the Plaza de San Francisco. We enjoyed breakfast and a wonderful dinner at the hotel and loved that the menu included local cuisine. Plus, the prices were reasonable - we would have easily paid twice as much at home for a meal of the same caliber. You also shouldn't miss a late afternoon cocktail on the rooftop!”

“The staff at the Friends Hotel & Rooftop were so friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. I was interested in exploring Quito and the sights around the city. They knew about the historic places and how to get there. They knew about the stores I needed to go to to pick up things I needed while traveling. The hotel is only a couple of blocks away from the Unesco Plaza Grande, which is at the heart of the historic center of Quito. I enjoyed walking there to see the famous cathedrals and to try out……

“This is a lovely little hotel with a very welcoming feel and great staff. Our room was spacious and comfortable and the food (breakfast and dinner) in the cosy restaurant was excellent. The decor is designed to celebrate the cultural heritage of Ecuador and the whole layout is very attractive. The availability of complimentary fresh fruit in the sitting room area was a nice touch. Nothing to fault here, highly recommended.”

“The location is good and near to the attraction points. The front desk people is nice and very helpful. When we left in early morning to the airport (around 6:00am), they prepared take away breakfast for us even it's just simple fruit, biscuit and drink. We felt very warm and the service is over 5 stars hotel. We recommend to all if you're going to Quito.”
