“We stayed in this house 5 years ago and we decided to return because it fits our needs. Being on the beach is the key. Not having the path in front of the house but just a block away is perfect. Being an older house makes it more comfortable for us. There are a lot of quirky things about this house (the ancient kitchen, the bunk room upstairs, the downstairs bathroom, the bed under the stairs) which suit us but maybe not everyone.”

“Loved this cottage! It was exactly as described, close to the beach and walking distance to shopping and restaurants. We rented bikes at Newport Pier, about 4 blocks from the house. They do have a small garage but we parked on the street. My husband and I stayed with our 2 teenage kids.”

Between the grill with propane ready to go and the modern appliances and the well equipped kitchen,dining in was east and fun. Comfy beds, laundry access, and AC unit were great. “We arrived with instructions to retrieve the front door key from a lock box. We opened the lock box only to find it was empty. We called our host numerous times, emailed and texted. We never got a response. We tried to contact hotels.com with no success. We finally were able to speak to someone at The Evolve Team, which is the company that manages this vacation rental. After numerous calls back and forth they agreed to cancel our booking and begin the process for refunding our money in full. I……
