“We had had two very nice nights’ stay at the Fleece as part of a tour of Hadrian’s wall. The pub/hotel has been refurbished to a high standard with quality materials, joinery and fittings. We stayed in a superior room that was very well maintained and much larger than we expected. We ate breakfast both mornings. “Tired looking exterior.Built in 1970’s I reckon.Very friendly,helpful,hardworking staff.room was clean,spacious and had everything you would expect.Had a decent bar and hot food available ,of a reasonable quality and at good price.A real bargain.i would certainly use again when in Carlisle.”
