While it is a little noisy being at the center, the windows are well insulated so it didn't bother us at night. The staff at the hotel were always available, warm and happy to help with any of our needs. “The hotel is a small jewel on the Italian coast where you can sleep at night free of the city hustle and bustle. Breakfast options are plenty and the view from the small breakfast area is superb. Getting from the hotel to the city is a little scary at the beginning portion, but becomes natural after you realize the entire Amalfi coast is this way. Thanks to the front desk team fathering to all our inquiries. And to the breakfast people who made our stay at the hotel pleasant. ”

“The Ara Maris which is referred to as the new hotel was one of my best stays at any hotel in all my travels, which is considerable. The service from all the staff whether it be registration, concierge, dining, pool, cleaning or spa wax consistently top notch. It is a physically pleasing site and is close to all the shops and restaurants in the main area of Sorrento. We were there for 8 days and could have stayed longer. I just want to express my thanks to the staff for making our stay as……

“Good central location close to Sorrento train station and main shopping street. Buffet breakfast with beautiful dining area. The hotel is old and dated fittings could be visibly seen in the room. We disliked the air-con & ventilation most, as according to reception, it would function only when we set it at least 2 degree higher than current in-room temperature. We wanted anything below 24 degree and end up not having ventilation for the night.”

“The hotel is conveniently located at the upper end of Via corso which is the Main Street in Sorrento. We had a triple room which was a spacious modern room with en-suite bathroom and an outside porch with sunbeds and couches. The breakfast was a good selection with the ability to squeeze your own orange juice was a game changer. Great host in Jennipher who was very helpful any time of the day! Highly recommend!”
