“Amazing place! Cute little place that has been remodeled to provide very comfortable and modern rooms. Everything was new and high quality, clean and comfortable, modern and well maintained - but in a cute historic building very close to all the retaurants and sights in town. We had a suite with a separate seating area with a fire place, a deck with a private hot tub (delightful way to end the day!), and a view of the river and a bit of the bay. “Beautiful cottage, we were here during Darragh but it was warm and comfortable . Only thing I would say is if you don’t know how to light a peat fire research it , lol we had Donagle family to show us the way. But it was wonderful staying here, you can’t go wrong especially if you have a large group with all the bedrooms. I would definitely stay here again ”

“We stayed at the Gateway Lodge in Donegal during our travels in Ireland. The onsite parking was convenient and easily accessible. Hotel is just a short walk to town with several dinner options. We ate at The Olde Castle Bar - seafood was fantastic! Donegal castle is just a few min walk from the hotel!”

“Gorgeous property with friendly staff. Beautiful room with comfortable beds. We enjoyed our stay even though we were placed in the adjacent building without elevator (carrying our heavy luggage upstairs was a pain). The restaurant is wonderful, but the spa was closed during our stay, bummer! Check the schedule if planning on using the spa”

“Stayed here for an overnight as part of a larger trip. Hotel is under renovation so exterior had construction and interior of halls mid renovation but room was beautiful, big and very comfortable. It mentions laundry facilities but no laundry available, had to drive 5-10 minutes down the road to do laundry which wasn’t the cheapest. We ended up eating dinner at the Fleet Inn which was about 5-10 minute walk away which was very good.”

“Beautiful hotel and great food. Very friendly staff. Our accommodation was in the Lodge which is great value. Only disappointments were that the upstairs area wasn’t available and there weren’t any of the nice homemade choc cookies on offer in the communal tea making area both of which we enjoyed on our previous stay.”
