“The property was situated on a busy main road with on road parking and a permit provided by B&B , which was hassle free. We booked room 4 on the first floor.The room was clean, spacious, light and airy. There was an eco shower in the shower cubicle with complimentary toiletries. The bedroom was provided with tea and coffee making facilities. The menue was good and the american pancakes ordered scrumptious. Vickie, the proprietor was welcoming, warm and friendly.”

“Dogs friendly lodge. I do appreciate people in the UK treat their dogs as families. We saw a lot of friendly dogs in the lodge. What a great experience. The breakfast is nice and the receptionist is enthusing to deliver help. ”

“We had a really lovely stay. The food was very nice. There is so much to do at the Woolpack. They have lots of games such as darts and pool. It is incredibly homely. We visited in the winter and we were made very welcome. ”

“A clean and newly furbished property managed by a capable and hospitable lady, serving good English breakfast. Our guest room with ensuite is facing the opposite side of the main road, so is quiet. The host also provides each guest a Business Parking Permit for free marking in a nearby council car park, which can also be used in other council car parks of the same council including one in Grasmere.”

“Silverdale is a lovely hotel - cosy, charming, clean and welcoming. Shelly and the rest of the team were extremely accommodating and treated us amazingly. We would definitely go back. Big recommend!”

“Wonderfully charming quaint b&b. Greeted on arrival by the very welcoming host who immediately set the fire away and brought me cake and biscuits, she was very helpful and informative regarding local walks. The property and grounds are superbly maintained and it was so peaceful watching the chickens roaming freely from my bedroom window and listening to the birds.”

“Love staying at Dorchester House. Lorraine is such a wonderful host, always helping with any information we need and goes out of her way to help me with storing my luggage before checkin and after checkout.The location is fantastic, just next to the Town centre and bus stops. The street is well-lit and safe to roam even when dark. The room is super cosy and the bedding is clean and so comfortable that my kids would love sleep-in instead of going out and about. The breakfast is delicious and……

“Amazing host who catered for my dietary needs without any fuss. Room was spotless with comfy beds. Breakfast was AMAZING, really set us up for a day on the fells. Our dog was fussed over by Pru and we were all made to feel very welcome. The perfect host and location for exploring the Eastern Fells and surrounding area.”

“Very clean and tidy, perhaps a little dated but the hot tub more than made up for it. Stress and hassle free the check in process was easy. The site is very well maintained making it an all round relaxed and very enjoyable stay.”

“Lodge is set in a great location on the park with great views from the outside decking. The sofa in the lodge could do with replacing as there is a smell coming from it. The listing advised a smart TV in the lodge but this was a freeview TV so no netflix , Amazon TV etc. Overall we had a great stay and would return but would be nice to have a upto date TV & new sofa.”

"The location is great and nearby the ferry pier. But the hotel is not in good maintenance at room, the toilet ceiling have a lot of dirty water marks, it looked disgusting. I booked a lakeview room that cost £250 a night, but not worth it, the room is really dilapidated, even they don't have a refrigerator at room, I needed to keep my birthday cake in their restaurant. The room price wss including the breakfast but it was lack of choice, they serve breakfast until 10:30 am, when I ordered scrambling egg with smoked salmon toast, they said no more but I saw other customers have it, I thought smoked salmon and egg are very common foods in a hotel restaurant, I wondered why they can tell me no more stocks. I just can say this hotel not worth for money, they are overpriced. Staffs are not really friendly. "
