“We stayed here with our four 20-something children, their partners and our mothers to celebrate a few birthdays. The house is a great size for our group. Bedrooms very comfortable, bathrooms great and the kitchen a good space. The living room and dining room are also great sizes for large groups. If there was only one downside it would be that the house would benefit from a refreshen-up, but everything worked for us for our stay, and we would stay again!!”

“We had a fantastic stay in Ambleside, largely due to the location of this property. A 5 minute walk from the centre of town and lots of restaurants and pubs but far enough away from the centre to be private. Amazing views. A little difficult to find in the first place but once we located it, all was good! Thank you!”

“The whole property is as mentioned on the description and perfect for a getaway. It had everything we needed and more. The property was spotless with all appliances functioning properly. “The house was excellent. The skies holiday host left a lot to be desired ! There were things broken in the property. He didn’t fix them and wanted to charge 20 pounds for an hour later check out - ! Which quite frankly when you are paying a lot for a holiday home is outrageous - especially as we knew there was no one else booked into the house. Such a shame because the house was amazing and we had a lovely time but that customer service would have made all the difference if it had been good.”

“Fantastic home on the lake with gorgeous grounds and views. Plenty of rooms to spread out and have privacy yet also large family rooms for gathering together for meals and games. “We stayed in July 2024 as a group of 13 (age range was teenagers to adults) + 2 dogs. Location is great with a good range of shops, restaurants and bars within walking distance from the house and main attractions of Windermere a short drive away. 5 en-suite bathrooms were much appreciated given we were 4 separate families. Also a table we could all sit at at the same time also fab! Hot tub also appreciated!”

The owners were very flexible with the Sunday checkout times which was nice of them. “Lodge is set in a great location on the park with great views from the outside decking. The sofa in the lodge could do with replacing as there is a smell coming from it. The listing advised a smart TV in the lodge but this was a freeview TV so no netflix , Amazon TV etc. Overall we had a great stay and would return but would be nice to have a upto date TV & new sofa.”
