“We have travelled and stayed in too many hotels to count. There have so far been 2 that have stood out in our minds as giving excellent service. The Loch Maree has jumped to number one. Duncan who welcomed us, was fantastic. He surpassed any previous number ones! He could not do enough to help and make sure that we were comfortable and had all that we needed. “Had a lovely stay at Gairloch Highland Lodge. Received a warm welcome from Michael who allowed us to check in early. View from our room was gorgeous. Overlooked Gairloch Harbour. Will definitely stay there again if we return to Gairloch. ”

“Beautiful location across from the old harbour. Great for walks in lovely scenery, cycling and beach. Decent restaurant for dinner. A busy Saturday night and a little understaffed. Breakfast was very disorganized despite having to preorder the night before for a set time. Everyone waited for coffee and food (help yourself buffet) also ran out several times. Seems could be easily fixed with some management and planning. Room was very outdated, but comfortable and clean.”

“Never got a confirmation with lock number and there was no service in the area. Luckily someone from a different pod let us use their WiFi to call the host. Otherwise no issues. We liked the area and the beach that was walking distance ”

“Parking was cash only but luckily had that on us but finding the parking was difficult due to construction. Then the small hike to the hostel from the temporary parking was a bit much with bags and over a fence. Service was nice, beds were not very comfortable ”
