“A beautiful hotel with grand high ceilings and an eccentric historical townhouse charm. Perfectly located right on the shore of Loch Maree, with private lake access. Our room was peaceful and quiet, offering breathtaking views of the lake. The host was exceptionally friendly, warm and accommodating, adding a welcoming atmosphere to both the hotel and its cosy bar. He went out of his way to meet our requests, making us feel truly cared for. Easily our best experience on the NC500. ”

“Great, comfortable room with a beautiful view across the loch. A pity that the left window wasn’t cleaned and was covered in salt spray. Restaurant menu was unexciting but our fish and chips were fresh and well cooked.”

“I would highly recommend this property. We stayed there for two nights. There were multiple restaurants and shops within easy walking distance. Although we had a car, we rarely used it. We did take the car on the ferry to Stornaway Which is also well worth the trip. The owners of this property bent over backwards to make it convenient and charming. My only complaint, and this is Minor is that there were no Kleenexes in the room. However, there were ample outlets for charging our devices and……

“Warm, friendly welcome. Room spotless, comfy bed and nice hot shower. All topped off with a lovely breakfast, with plenty of toast, croissants, breakfast bars, yoghurt, bananas and fruit juice. Perfect!”

“Die Unterkunft war sehr gemütlich mit tollem Ausblick auf den See, der gleich vor dem Fenster ist. Es ist ein bisschen abgelegen, aber mit einem Restaurant und sogar einer Kitchenette mit einem Herd, Kühlschrank und Mikrowelle. Das Zimmer war sehr gemütlich. Obwohl es geregnet hat, haben wir uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Internet ist lediglich im Inn verfügbar. Wir können die Unterkunft sehr empfehlen!”

“An overnight stay at a lovely location. Great facilities and a nice private space behind a partition curtain. The nearby amenities are also excellent. A small shop for essentials and a fish and chip takeaway, both of which are very reasonably priced, to say they have monopoly of the immediate area. One of the nicest hostels I have stayed in for location and nearby amenities.”
