“The setting is stunning surrounded by beautifully maintained grounds. A beautiful building, very tastefully decorated. Quiet and peaceful, great night's sleep. The staff were very welcoming, helpful and friendly. The breakfast was delicious. A shirt walk to the town. I would very highly recommend it.”

“Stayed a couple of times now. Food is great and good choice of drinks at the bar. Rooms are clean and have everything you need. Also fresh milk given for your room and not in packets or individuals. ”

“The room and everything was amazing. However, the fan for the heating came on randomly and I was not able to adjust the fan or switch it off. I tried turning the fan down, but it just went back to full speed. This continued through the night.”

“Well kept hotel generally. Good value. Decent location. Entering is tricky as you need to knock on the front door or walk around the back and enter via the carpark. Bed was sunken. ”

“Another great stay at TY Magor, the only thing I would do is move the picnic bench from the main entrance around the side with the other benches it’s not a good look when you arrive and not good for those that are staying in the rooms right above it.(This is a quick win for the hotel if they do this)”

“We had a beautiful, spacious, clean period room with a four poster bed which was really lovely. The hotel's spa facilities were outstanding. However, my husband and I were a little bit disappointed with the lack of variety the menu at the Grill offered. We were also disappointed that we were unable to view our favourite programme together on Netflix due to the fact that the smart television in our room didn't allow us to mirror my phone's screen, which we thought was a pity.”
