“Visited hotel for Pontypool YFC 80th Reunion, Seren assisted with arrangements but Kirsty made sure everything was perfect on the night. Food was delicious and well presented. Stayed overnight, room was spotless and breakfast was delicious with plenty of choice. Definitely stay again.”

“It was accommodation only. We had key code to let you in. Didnt see the owner at all. Bedroom was small but adequate. Ensuite was small. Bed was not that comfortable but it was very clean.”

“Nice friendly helpful staff . Only issue we had is the windows , very easy to climb onto for kids and the windows opened just by using the handle so no button to press in first . ((Obviously that’s not an issue everyone will have but if you have children with disabilities you may find this worrying)). Other than that it was clean , everything was as should be and we had everything we need. Very ideal place as it’s right outside the pier ”

“The Savoy did exactly what I needed (it gave me somewhere to sleep for the night) The service was excellent, I received phone calls to confirm my booking and to tell me when I can check in. The rooms were very well worn! Peeling paint and wallpaper. And a strong smell of smoke. The doors are not soft close either!”

“I was in the annexe room 22. Breakfast was very good. I was there 2 nights. There were clean towels the 2nd day which I didnt think necessary as I am a big believer in saving water, energy, time and money! So maybe a notice could be put up like they do in many hotels to leave towels on floor if they need changing. There were a couple of little things I mentioned to reception but no need to put on here as all in all it was a good hotel. ”

“Really enjoyed my overnight stay in Sandbay. Close to Western Supermare, can hop on a bus and spend time there however there is plenty of entertainment on site also a swimming pool, dart boards and 2x snooker tables. The only downside it's a card only venue but take some cash for vending machine and bingo in the evening cash only. ”

“Unique property, historic and interesting. Well placed for access to Bristol. Friendly helpful host. Some sofa cushions and a foot stool would make the lounge area more cosy and a small lamp. But small touches. Would use again. ”

“Family room (connecting rooms) booked. One w king sized bed n one w sofa bed. Spacious. Clean. Enough storage. Best with free parking. Plenty of parking spaces. Service was good. Staff responded quickly to our requests. Room price is reasonable. Will stay again ”
