“Our hostess, Christine, was very welcoming. She was a wealth of knowledge of the local area, providing valuable information about parking options. Christine also provided suggestions for our evening meal, with her local being our choice for dinner.
Breakfast was fresh and her poached eggs were awesome. Highly recommended. ”
“Really lovely old building nicely decorated, would have liked to have a gin and tonic by the fire in the evening but there was no bar when we stayed, can't wait to come back!”
“The hosts were very welcoming, helpful and friendly. Breakfast was excellent very tasty, beds were so comfortable didn’t want to get up and the whole property was spotlessly clean. “Very clean and well equipped. Check in information good. Getting information on how to check out at 1:55 in the morning was less than helpful as it woke us up. We have to leave some alerts on as husband receives medical alerts overnight. It may not be a problem for those who can switch a do not disturb on. Also had to message to request an internet password for the medical monitoring. Owner was very helpful and provided it straight away but it would be helpful to have it available if internet is……
“Lots of parking, lovely dining room and food. Hot tub, swimming pool and sauna on site, which was great and a very welccome surprise. Our room was excellent, extremely warm and comfy, and with amazing views. Aa very easy walk into town for mooching round the shops and pubs etc, plus of course the castle ruins. Very happy and would happily return please. ”
“Quite remote. Staff gave us free left over curry which was very nice. Beverage options are vast. About a 30 minute drive from pen y fan. Only had WiFi in the main rooms though. No signal or WiFi in the room we were in. We only stayed for one night so it didn’t matter for us. cheap and cheerful. ”

“A beautiful converted train wagon nestled in the Welsh countryside. Very well put together with most amenities available. Very comfy bed - small but well sized for a intimate break together.
There were just a few things we thought to mention:
1. No WiFi came as a huge surprise. Personally we (and probably most) assumed there would be wifi. We would’ve really appreciated this being explicitly stated.
2. There was practically no communication from the hosts, just an empty email with a pin on……
