“Warm welcome from the host Mark who provided us with all the info we needed for our stay. Room was very clean, nicely decorated and had all we needed. Our only issue was that the room was small and there was limited space for our suitcases. Breakfast was spot on! Good quality food served to the table. Good value for money. ”

“Had a lovely 2 night stay in the Cairngorm Suite with my husband and 2 kids (5years & 4 months old). Firstly the location was perfect and in walking distance to countless pubs, restaurants, shops etc. The room itself was beautiful and the bedroom especially was incredibly spacious. The beds were really comfortable and the bedding/duvets etc all felt really good quality. Bathroom was spotless, the shower wasnt very powerful but thats being pernickety. Plenty of storage space throughout the suite……

“Excellent youth hostel ”

“We stayed for two nights in one of the garden rooms. It had a decking area onto the grass. We ate in the restaurant on both nights and had breakfast there too. The room was good, and mostly clean. Putting our case in the shelving area disturbed a layer of dust that you could write your name in. However, the bathroom and linen was clean. The decor was fine, but a bit worn. The bathroom tiles were cracked and the paintwork in it badly chipped. The bed was large, but overly firm, I woke with a……

“Good value for money. Modern, clean and excellent location. Room was a little on the small side but absolutely fine for 1 night.”

“The hotel is located within some outstanding scenery with Loch Alvie literally on your doorstep. We were all made to feel welcome, including Dizzy the dog , and the chefs produced some delicious food as we sat near a blazing log fire. Room and bathroom were very clean and well appointed. The only grumble we would have is that we were charged for our dog's stay on a nightly basis, to cover additional cleaning, as opposed to per visit, you would only clean the room once even after 2 nights stay.”

“Really good base for what we wanted to do and see in the cairngorms. Basic but comfy place and staff were great. Breakfast wasn’t 100% but very much worth the £10 charge. Parking was really easy and the local area fab too. ”
