“The Royal Dunkeld Hotel wins hands down for the helpfulness and kindness of its staff. There are choices in stunning Dunkeld but the service here has been outstanding. I have been upgraded, offered a function room for a meeting, and have extended my stay here because of it.”
“Meikleour Arms is a unique inn on a large estate (hence "Arms," which refers to the coat of arms of the estate owner. Cozy inn, delicious meals (venison from the estate, for instance), lots of personality. We loved staying here, and fishing with Ian, the "ghillie" who put me onto a beautiful sea trout and taught me how to cast a spey rod. ”
“We really enjoyed our stay and wish we had stayed longer. The superior room was roomy and comfy with a great bathroom too. We loved sitting in the armchairs and looking at the beautiful scenery out our window. Next time, we will stay for more than one day.”
“Wish we had a longer stay. The town is lovely. The bed was comfortable and we loved the shower, great water pressure. The hosts were extremely friendly. ”
“This was by Far our favorite stop on our two week journey around UK . Staff made every effort to insure our stay was perfect . We will refer this hotel to anyone that travels to Scotland ”
“We stayed at this charming hotel July 15-18 and were so pleased that we picked this property in Pitlochry. Perched on a hill, the hotel is a lovely 19th century stone building and the interior is impeccably maintained and spotlessly clean. We had a premium room and were amazed by the size and beautiful views over Pitlochry.
Our first night we decided ahead of time to dine at the hotel and it was absolutely wonderful. From the canapés and drink in the lounge to the last bite of dessert it was……
“Pitlochry is a quaint little town, and this hotel is 150 years old. Amazing little property, very clean and uniquely fits the vibe of the town. The staff members are helpful and everything is a short walk away. Highly recommended.”
“Lovely property, excellent service, and marvelous food. The bartender said he didn’t really know cocktails which was a bit surprising and a tad disappointing. Would have loved to go stalking but discovered we had to reserve that in advance. Will know next time.”
“Spacious room, private balcony, great service, beautiful food, warm swimming pool, multiple hot tubs, steam room and sauna. Sandemans cosy and luxurious, 1892 restaurant with stunning views of river, trees and hills beyond”
“An absolute pleasure! It may say it is a “plant-based hotel” but wether you are a vegan, vegetarian or just like vegetables once and a while, you should really go!!! They are so friendly - the hotel has so much charm - the staff are super helpful and sweet - and the food is so well made!!! This is not your average, boring, “concept hotel, but a hotel with passion!”
“We ended up in twin room as no doubles left…. Comfortable beds, ground floor was quiet.
Ate dinner in evening in restaurant it was Indian cuisine and was so delicious. Staff lovely very knowledgeable about food and helped with choices. Breakfast was equally tasty, freshly cooked and piping hot.
Would definitely like to stay here again. Thanks ”
"The hotel doesn’t have an elevator. I stayed on the first floor. Actually, there is a corridor between the first floor and the carpark with a few steps only. However, the receptionist didn’t told me about that. She simply told me to carry the luggages through the normal entrance and go up one floor “ONLY” . No help had been offered and she clearly knew I got a car. Nowadays, it is not usual asking the lady customers to carry the luggages going upstairs "
