“Perfect mother/daughter get away. We relaxed by the creek, painted, drank, and ate. Sooooo relaxing. Th owner popped by and showed us his other property”

“Could have been a 5 star rating but:1. we had to shovel 5 inches of snow from walkway and deck to get in the house2. Very small amount of toilet paper. Had to go to the store the first evening we arrived. 3. The request to leave an empty dishwater, beds stripped, garbage removed AND to take with us, and floors vacuumed and swept was a bit much. The house is very cute, comfortable and in close proximity to everywhere we wanted to go. ”

“The cabin was top notch, clean, quiet setting, nice get away. Smaller room by the bathroom has a soft mattress and the Florida type room has a firm mattress. If flying in needing to rely on Ubers or food delivery, this isn't the place. I was barely able to get an Uber back out. Otherwise I'd absolutely rent again but only if I drive myself or rent a car. ”

“Overall this was a clean convenient place. Plenty of parking. The layout of bedrooms feels more appropriate for families becasue you have to walk through connected bedrooms both up and down stairs. The "office" bedroom has to be walked through for all three occupants of the bedrooms upstairs. We already knew bedroom #1 and #2 were connected. Since the evenings were cool enough for use of the funace we had a very strong fuel oil odor drifting up through return vents on the first floor all……

“This cottage made for a fun and easy family get-away recently. It's conveniently located - close to shops, restaurants, movie theater, and the public beach in Old Forge, as well as hiking trails within walking distance or a short drive. Also very close to McCauley Mountain for skiing and mountain biking. The cottage was super clean from top to bottom. Check-in/out was easy and the owners were easy to contact if/when needed.”

“Derricks property is very clean and well stocked with everything that you could possibly need. The home made bread that he made for us was delicious and the house was beautifully decorated. Would stay here again. ”
