“This is an amazing place if you want to be away from the hustle and bustle of regular hotels. Please note that there is no TV in the room which was exactly what I wanted. This is a wellness retreat hotel that offers two classes, a day included in the price of the booking . They range from ukulele lesson, to hula dances, yoga, and chi gong lessons. The breakfast is quite nice, you can pre-order lunch for the next day if you like however the restaurant is only open twice a week at this point. The……

“Where else on Maui can you find a seven bedroom, seven bathroom private home that exists in a botanical garden? This place is an Upcountry Shangri-la, whether you’re working or playing. It mixes the utilitarian (see above about bedrooms/ bathrooms) with the Romantic: jaw dropping views, unforgettable sunrises and sunsets, and a view to the night sky that would make an early explorer just as relaxed. I’ll bet there are two dozen interesting trees on the property: an epic Banyan tree, an avocado……

“Maddie and Jimmy could not have been friendlier or more thoughtful hosts. They welcomed us to their beautiful home with a bounty of food and treats, including fresh eggs from their flock of hens. Didn’t even think about turning on the TV!”

“Dawn and David have created a resort feel without the crowds. We stayed in their Jungalow for three nights celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary. It was cozy and the views spectacular! We were able to reserve the hot tub through their scheduling app which worked great.We love to bird watch and were even provided birdseed to fill the feeder right outside the large windows to watch them up close. Good location for visiting Haleakalā. Highly recommend!! Well done Dawn and David!!”
