“Beautiful room, super comfy bed! We treated ourselves to Room 3, which had a massive, spa-like bathroom on the upper level. Felt like a queen soaking in the bath! Staff were all so friendly, too.”

“Weekend break in this property. It was very modern. Tastefully decorated and all the things you need for a nice stay. The only issue was noise from other guests coming and going in the early hours but out of the control of the owners ”

“The room was amazing very clean, comfortable and modern. The bed was very comfy. The shower was walk in and very hot. The view from our room shown the river and was very beautiful to look at The only thing about the room was the road traffic noise you could hear. The pub itself was very busy and the breakfast was really good. We also had a meal and that was brilliant too. The staff was very helpful and really informative. Would recommend a stay here.”

“Amazing. Right from the start the staff were friendly, polite and welcoming. Food was delicious - we ate at the hotel for dinner - having the 'pigs' in blanket sharing starter and then both steak pies. Next morning - breakfast was great - although there was no 'bacon' for us - the server compensated by offering us additional sausages - so it wasn't too much of a disappointment. ”

“Lovely guesthouse, well decorated and furnished, there’s a little noise from the bar next door, but it is a main road, so to be expected. Breakfast is continental, good selection of fruits, pastries and charcuterie, including plant based yogurt and milks. ”

“We stayed one night with our dog. I was a little doubtful on what the standard of room would be like due to us having a dog. The room was a good size, very clean and smelt pleasant. The grounds were also clean and plenty of small grassed areas for the dog to pop out. We stayed for breakfast which was hot snd tasty. All the staff where helpful and friendly. ”

“Privately-owned, and service reflects this. Staff are extremely friendly and efficient throughout. The restaurant is first class, with an exciting menu, and the food was very good indeed. The hotel feels modern with an elegant design, yet obviously has history. The "new" extensions complement the old. My only concern (and mild disappointment) was the shower which takes a long time to get going and was just a little cramped. Otherwise, the room was fantastic and most importantly, the bed……
