“A peaceful step back in time. The springs and river are clear to the bottom and refreshingly cool. (The Creature from the Black Lagoon, filmed there, plays on a TV in the lobby.) Forest trails are lush and filled with birdsong. (Watch out for the horseflies!) Rooms in the lodge are spacious, clean and the beds comfortable. Don’t expect luxurious. The staff members are warm and courteous. Look up at the lobby ceiling. Beautiful. Lovely stay. ”

“The staff went out of the way to be helpful. When we initially had an issue with the keypad, they answered the call promptly & had an easy solution. They furnished towels when we requested extras, and were just as nice as anyone could be. The room was very clean, had everything we needed. Bed was soft and the retro vibes were so very cute. This is a refurbished old motel that has new life as a little boutique air b and b. I loved it. ”
