“We stayed at Whitley Coach House to spend a few days in the area before attending a wedding in Frome. Tim and Ginny’s communication was excellent, and they were even kind enough to provide a travel cot last minute as we had ordered one ourselves that we didn’t think would come in time (although it did in the end).
The coach house itself was spacious enough for the three of us, with everything one might need for a few days away. ”
“Me and my partner had a wonderful stay at the old garage, very clean very homely and very modern, everything you could need for a break away, we did find the bed a little on the hard side but everyone has different comfort level with that, shower was amazing, host was very friendly and made sure we had everything we needed on arrival, would definitely stay again if we were in the area! ”
“Just amazing, this was our 2nd visit because we enjoyed it so much last time. We love Widbrook Barns, everything about it. Dick and his team offer 1st Class service, the care and attention to detail is the best. Warm and wonderful welcome, the rooms are delightful, setting is great. Breakfast delicious, gardens and location all amamzing. This place give you a warm hug! ”
“Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast waitress particularly so. Pool/spa/gym area is smaller than expected and looking tired. Evening meal was disappointing and quality did not match the prices. A strawberry parfait with one small strawberry cut into four alongside a cube of ice cream for £10? Steak was quite small and bland. Peppercorn sauce was very thin/watery. Breakfast was great though. ”
“Fabulous location overlooking the valley. Staff food and rooms are all great.
A minor downside is lighting over the handbag in the bathroom where good light is needed for contact lens wearers; however this is common to almost all hotels nowadays”
“The staff are very friendly and we did enjoy the stay. The breakfast is fabulous. The bath tub inside the room is wonderful. The room size is very spacious.”
“Fantastic little B&B and pub. Lovely rooms which were spotless with lovely views out over the pub garden and Wiltshire countryside. The staff were so attentive and helpful, nothing was too much trouble and the food was delicious. Richard the chef went over and above to meet our dietary requirements (allergies and intolerances). Breakfast is not to be missed with lovely local produce and fantastic sausages! The room was spotless and had lovely touches like milk, juice and water in the fridge and……
“we loved the red lion. The staff was so helpful and courteous. The continental breakfast was much more… The bar was great! Our room was charming… We couldn’t ask for more in a hotel with great access to Avebury and the Cotswald.”
“It was an absolutely amazing place to stay and eat. The staff were fantastic, very helpful, and friendly. The food was amazing, and everywhere was spotlessly clean.”
“Convenient location, friendly stuff, lovely decoration, tasty breakfast, and cosy room all equal to wonderful experience at this B&B, highly recommended to everyone!”
“It’s a nice place for travellers, clean and tidy room with excellent service from the staff. Thank you for the service especially Nigel and the one served us during the dinner.(forget to ask his name)”
