“Great off the beaten path location for exploring the Sol de Mayo Waterfall and the surrounding Sierra de la Laguna mountain range near the small town of Santiago. We really enjoyed the hike to the waterfall and exploring the Cañon de la Zorra (Fox Canyon) above the falls. The accommodations weren't fancy, but we did enjoy the peace and tranquility of the desert landscape and the beautiful oasis tucked away amid the arid canyon. “Great location about 10 to 15 minutes drive from La Fortuna. There is a great breakfast/ lunch place nearby however as well as some small Supers. The place itself is excellent with comfortable beds and good showers. It was just me and my partner and it would be ideal for two couples. The hot tub is also very good and the view of Arenal from the balcony is fantastic. I would recommend having a small 4x4 for the gravel roads up to the property and around the area.Thanks for having us in this……

Nice cozy bed, smart TV, kitchen (microwave, 2 ring stove, fridge, sink, pots, pans, cutlery, cutting board, and such), bathroom, and sitting area both inside and outside. What makes this accommodation special is the family thatt run it. Melissa is at the front desk 12 hours a day, and she speaks fluent English and is extremely helpful.
